The Glam Jumpsuit

A good jumpsuit is an essential in your closet… When you want chic and easy glam put on a fabulous jumpsuit! I snagged this from Nordstrom Savvy as soon as I saw it. This particular jumpsuit flatters many different body types and is  easy to pull off since it’s a complete look done for you. Also the print is very easy to wear for you girls who are print-cautious. All you need are accenting accessories and a killer pair of heels BAAAAM! You’re ready to turn heads where ever you go!!!

Get the look: RBL Print Surplice Jumpsuit, Thrifted Cuff (try this Forever 21 Gold Cuff ), Forever 21 Chandelier Earrings, Sole Society Heels (old, but try these Jessica Simpson Heels)

Revamped with Stilettos

So I decided after lusting over so many pictures of stiletto nails to go back to them. I first tried this look in 2010 after seeing them on Rihanna. At that point it was a short lived trend for me. Now I just needed to try something that wasn’t my usual. I wish I could get this look without sacrificing my nail health, but oh hell, I want to live my nail moment out to the fullest right now. I got the look below with professionally done acrylics. I used just a nude color and decided to do an accent nail on my ring finger. On the accent nail I applied a base coat in white and then applied a crackle top coat in black. Lastly I applied my favorite matte top coat to take away the shine. Hope this inspires you play around in some nail polish this week!

Grunge and Glam

photo 3

I love going out at night to unwind after a busy week…

My favorite type of places to frequent are relaxed venues that don’t require formal attire. I take full advantage to dip into my favorite personal style I like to call “Grunge and Glam” when I’m exploring a more relaxed night-life experience.  This is one of my favorite looks to wear because it combines feminine and masculine elements harmoniously. For the night I wore my American Apparel Halter Neck Skater Dress, a military inspired utility jacket, and Steve Madden Tiarraa biker booties. I then accessorized with a simple black envelope clutch, spike bracelets with a simple watch, and a Versace inspired statement necklace.

Saturday night I went to a fund raiser event at The Beat Cup Cafe in Delray Beach, Florida. The cafe is unique spot and absolute gem to step away from the usual bustle and grind of South Florida, so if you’re in the area check it out. Blow are some photos I captured of The Beat Cup Cafe while enjoying the event!

+ 1 to the Party

20130222-001406.jpg

Clearly spring is coming up, it’s a bitter-sweet time of year. Good-bye to beloved fall and winter trends and hello to the new trends that are ready to be embraced. With spring pending it’s time to start thinking about transitioning into spring. I’ll talk about the first trend that you can carry over into spring which I love.

I’m in love with layering at the moment. Why? It’s a way to be stylish without commitment to only one item. Whether it is as simple as layering a military inspired utility jacket, or inviting one more bracelet to the arm party; nevertheless, I’ve embraced layering.

An easy way to start, or revamp, an arm party is with bracelets sold in a set. You can find these sets many places. A favorite fashion treasure of mine is Target. in their accessory section you can find some real winners for your accessory collection.

Recently I grabbed 2 bracelet sets from Target (bangle set on right, mix bracelet set on lower left) both were $14.99. Whether you’re a beginner or expert in bracelet layering, bracelets sets are an amazing add to your accessory arsenal. Just wear these sets as is or add bracelets you already have to the set and just like that you have a unique & personalized arm party.

Wear your arm party while adding pops of neon, like a neon denim, into your spring wardrobe and you’re on your way into chic transitioning. Metallics and neons are the best of friends of this spring. The pair give a futuristic and fresh look compared to the usual florals and pastels we see in spring.

The Fashion Prescription that Cures

The good doctor always prescribes colorblocking for the novice fashionista! Today while in my lunch break I wondered through my local Forever 21 and these beautiful wedges caught my eye. They’re simply colorblocked so they’re easy to introduce into your existing wardrobe. Try these with a cream shirt and a denim in your favorite wash and VIOLÀ! Buy these here!

Make a Statement Under $25

I’ve been sprucing up the ole denim and tee-shirt routine with statement necklaces.  Don’t be hesitant about this trend that has been around for awhile. I must say that it is something that creates so much elegance and brings interest to an outfit like no other. All of these necklaces featured below are under $25! While I adore the trendy jewelry on the higher end I know how to appreciate getting the trend at a fraction of the price… You can have the glitz n glam without breaking your bank account!
