I am so excited to be writing an outfit post and it’s well overdue! Recently in December I was craving to find a blush pink duster! So I know you may be wondering why I had the immediate urge to find this item…

Dusters are perfect and so in right now regardless of the climate you live in. Most silhouettes are available is light-weight fabrications. A duster is super sleek and elevates your style.

This shade of pink is EVERYTHING and is my power color (when I wear it, it’s an immediate confidence booster). This shade of pink is like a pseudo-neutral and can work with a multitude of skin tones and wardrobe needs. If you’re like me and love white, black, and gray you can pop this color into your closet  and easily fall in love.

The one I’m wearing is from boohoo.com and is under $40! My exact style has sold out but there are soooo many options on boohoo.com here. I did experience a delay in receiving my items in the states since this retailer is based in the UK. Nevertheless, the items I purchased were beautiful in person for such a good price.

These OTK (over the knee) boots I snagged last year from Nordstrom and they are designer dupes! This style isn’t available but here is pair that is similar and $100.Other pieces I styled in my look are from my closet; they are a combinations of older pieces and new 🙂

Fall Favorites Tag 2016

Which season do you look forward to the most? For me it’s Fall. There’s not one single thing I dislike about Fall and that’s hard for a picky girl like me. The change in the air brings something alive within me each year, and I can’t help but smile about it. To be honest it’s probably the caffeine that kicks in after the iced pumpkin spiced latte, but oh heck who knows?!?! Speaking of those iced pumpkin spiced lattes, a cult favorite… Fall is full of year-after-year favorites for me that I had to share!

I had so much fun creating this video and sharing my seasonal favorites. I hope you enjoy this and get to know me a little bit more. Don’t forget to let me know some of your favorites too! Choker Rage!

I’m completely obsessed with this choker trend! I know this trend has made a comeback a hot minute ago and I am a little late to the party, but my collection of chokers is something serious! In general, chokers are game-changers that instantly takes an outfit from basic to interestingly sexy and there are so many different types. What more can you ask for? My favorite way to wear them are with clean button up blouses, off the shoulder tops, easy shift dresses, and a classic v-neck.

L’oreal La Palette Nude2 {review and swatches on dark skin}

Drug store makeup companies have literally STEPPED the game completely up! Well FI-NA-LLY!

20150610_143939t_wm

I usually wear a mixture of high-end and drug store makeup, well mostly drug store lipstick, so I’m happy to see palettes start hit the scene. I never purchased the drug store palettes before and I guess it’s because I have high end palettes from both Smashbox and Urban Decay; therefore never really gave it a thought to try a drug store palette…. but that changed. When I saw the L’oreal palette the total appearance of the palette caught my eye. Sometimes the quads from drug store makeup brands look, well, cheesey, and the others that look nice I just wonder if they will look good on my skin tone. I’m always cautious in purchasing ANY palette, let alone a drug store since I can’t swatch it in store, because I don’t want them to look ashy or overall unflattering for my skin tone. So it took an hour of walking around Target to convince me to take a risk and try the palette. The Palette was $16 USD for me in Target, I’ve seen on other blogs that it being priced at around $20 USD. So here’s a look at the palette below!

So the palette has 10 colors. These are all rosey, cool tones, so yes it reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I like to think of the selection of these colors in the palette as an extension of the UD Naked 3 Palette, not a dupe per say.  There are 4 shimmer colors and 6 mattes. I love the fact that the shimmers are flaky at all. The over all consistency & formula of the shadows are perfect, they blend easily and the pigmentation is decent. If you want to the color to sit more strongly on your eye I suggest not only a primer, but also a dense brush for application.

Tell me, have you tried any drug store palettes? If so, which is your favorite?!?! I hope you’re as excited as I am to see what else is next for drug store makeup as we see that fabulous makeup doesn’t have to cost a fortune nowadays. If you would like to get the palette yourself, check it out here.

Gorjana Crush

Gorjana is my go-to jewelry brand right now. I literally fall in love with each piece, and there’s almost something for everybody. Unless you don’t like gold. The line is mostly gold styles, so dare to be get out of your comfort zone silver lovers and look damn good in GOLD!!! The jewelry is fun for layering, so you can mix and match pieces to make it your own! What’s even better about the line is the quality. The jewelry is 18k gold plated and is impeccably made! Most people think that I’ve paid well over 3x the actual cost when they see me wear this jewelry; so when they find out how great it looks for the cost they nearly have a heartattack. I love to look luxe for a fraction of the cost. I’ve recently added the pieces in the picture to my jewelry wardrobe for this summer. What is your favorite jewelry for the summer?

Not familiar with the brand, just stop by the site and Gorjana will teach you how to #livelovelayer

Sarah Jessica Parker Shoes @ Nordstrom

20140109-233300.jpg

Mark your calendars because SJP Shoes are hitting Nordstrom EXCLUSIVELY February 28th!!!

I went to Glamour to take a sneak peek at 5 shoes from the line and I can say I’m half in love with them. Here’s the skinny of what I like and don’t like…

I like that the designs are wearable and authentic to Sarah, so it’s easy to see her hand was heavy in the process of creating the shoes. That’s something I really love to see since with so many celeb lines it’s sometimes hard to tell if they even hard a part in the design process.

I don’t like the price point! I understand the reason why designer shoes are priced the way they are… But at the $195-$500 price point it’s not completely accessible to a segment of the market that she could really use to build the brand. That’s just my opinion.

It’s obvious that her character Carrie Bradshaw was a muse to Sarah designing the line! There’s even a beautiful t-strap pump names after the infamous Sex in the City character! It’s probably my favorite that I’ve seen since this pump is classic and the perfect nude for spring. Only one question remains… Will you buy?
