Let Them Eat Good!

Health is like a good pair of shoes. When you’re at your best health you walk comfortably in your own skin and look damn good doing it. Just like a good pair of shoes. So today I’m sharing my favorite recipe Turkey Meatballs with Spinach! It’s a Paleo inspired dish (side note I don’t follow any particular diet routine, but I am converting gradually to a Paleo diet). And for anyone who isn’t truly kitchen savvy this is beginner friendly.

What you need: 1 pound of turkey meat (grass fed preferably), sea salt, pepper, curry, refined coconut oil, a 6 ounce bag of baby spinach, 1 vidalia onion, and minced garlic.

Steps:
1.) Take turkey meat out of package add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, season with 2 teaspoons of curry, and lightly sprinkle with pepper. I usually do this on a cookie sheet.

2.) Hand mix ingredients into turkey meat until it’s evenly dispersed, i.e. no clumps of seasoning.

3.) Form meat into palm sized meatballs… This is the right portion. Usually yields 8-10 meatballs.

4.) Broil for 15-20 minutes (my preference) or pan cook until completely cooked/browned, this also takes about 15 minutes.

5.) Slice onion down the center. Dice one halve and add to pan with 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1/4 cup of water and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Also add the cooked meat balls. Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes, stir when necessary.

6.) After rinsing the spinach in warm water. Add the spinach to pan and let slightly wilt. This should only take 1-2 minutes. If you like your spinach more tender let it wilt longer.

7.) Toss to make sure it’s thoroughly mixed and you’re done! Enjoy! ☺️

Always Red

I have a pure love for lip color! Tonight I was pondering getting MAC Ruby Woo as the perfect red that I’m currently craving. I have other shades of red but I’m want to start wearing a classic matte blue-red more often.
Now I googled drugstore dupes for Ruby Woo since I always look to drugstore options, then I came across a gem of dupe knowledge, Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. That’s when I had an ah ha moment… I OWN THIS! I bought it the other year, but completely forgot about this in my collection. While this isn’t a drugstore dupe, it is being resourceful and using what you already have vs makeup hoarding. This is part of my New Year Resolution πŸ™‚
Like Ruby Woo, Always Red is a true matte blue-red! The pay-off is AMAZING and goes on opaque from the beginning, because it’s a cream lip stain. This shade compliments a multitude of skin tones since it’s a blue-red. The price is $13 which is $2 less than Ruby Woo. Even though it’s not the budget saver drugstore dupe we all love, this is worth adding to your collection and has my stamp of approval!

Sarah Jessica Parker Shoes @ Nordstrom

Mark your calendars because SJP Shoes are hitting Nordstrom EXCLUSIVELY February 28th!!!

I went to Glamour to take a sneak peek at 5 shoes from the line and I can say I’m half in love with them. Here’s the skinny of what I like and don’t like…

I like that the designs are wearable and authentic to Sarah, so it’s easy to see her hand was heavy in the process of creating the shoes. That’s something I really love to see since with so many celeb lines it’s sometimes hard to tell if they even hard a part in the design process.

I don’t like the price point! I understand the reason why designer shoes are priced the way they are… But at the $195-$500 price point it’s not completely accessible to a segment of the market that she could really use to build the brand. That’s just my opinion.

It’s obvious that her character Carrie Bradshaw was a muse to Sarah designing the line! There’s even a beautiful t-strap pump names after the infamous Sex in the City character! It’s probably my favorite that I’ve seen since this pump is classic and the perfect nude for spring. Only one question remains… Will you buy?

The Work Mix

I love that it got a little chilly in South Florida, so I got to break out my thigh-high boots (shrieks in pure excitement) 😁😁😁

I paired them with an ASTR faux leather skater skirt for a flirty and edgy look. ASTR is one of my favorite brands from Nordstrom Savvy and I always find cute pieces from this brand!

I always get inspired by Chanel (obvi from my choice in accessory) so I grabbed my tweed moto jacket from tobi.com.

Any bag could work with this look from a cute cross body to a nice hobo. I went for the hobo since I was is meetings for the morning and needed a bag with storage.
